Certificate in Community Paramedicine Care
An accessible, research-based certificate program designed to prepare paramedics for their expanded role as Community Paramedics. Creating connections between paramedic services, staff and community partners, the Certificate in Community Paramedicine Care bridges existing skills and experience with the advanced assessments, critical thinking and care planning required to excel in this growing field.

Enrolment Options
Enrolment options are not cohort-based meaning paramedic services can enrol students at any point in the year. The certificate program is designed to take as little as 4 months to complete depending on staff scheduling and allocated training time. Courses are offered in a self-paced asynchronous model.

Students receive a certificate upon completion. Program includes asynchronous competency and research-based didactic lessons and one program coordinator guide to aid in supporting staff. Includes:

Students receive an advanced certificate upon completion. Program includes asynchronous competency and research-based didactic lessons, a template for the skills program and a 240 hour clinical placement. (Note: specific clinical placement sites are coordinated by the paramedic service). Includes:

Continuing professional development
Community paramedicine programs may register students in courses independent of the certificate programs as part of the continuing education program or for general interest. Some services may wish to register non-CP staff for select courses as part of the service QA program.
