In community health, the role of Community Paramedics is evolving to expand their role as a patient health educator.  Working with patients who have varying levels of health literacy, experiences, health goals and caregiver supports, Community Paramedics benefit from having access to standardized, flexible and accessible education resources.

As part of a patient-centred care approach, we need to be able to collaborate with allied agencies, the patient and their families/caregivers, and advocate for the best quality of life for our patient. How we communicate and interact with others impacts our self-esteem but our self-esteem also impacts how we communicate and interact with others.
